Who doesn’t love a good when two future love birds meet for the first time, there has to be an impact, it may be positive or negative. Well, in my story, I experienced both impact. In everybody’s life at a certain point of time we think why this thing is happening to us in our lives, it will be good if it comes about in a different way. Here, I am Kamal, the hero, narrating this story with some real incidents happened in my life mixed with some creativity. Well it’s a mocktail of Real and Reel.
This happened in my life a few years back. I laugh at my friends, when they tell me that they fell in love at first sight. For the 25 years of my life I didn’t believe in that theory, until I saw her. Her dazzling eyes, slender eyebrows, sea-nymph ears and dainty nose made me to fall in love with her at my first sight. My theory seems to be failed when I met her for the first time. Yes, I am in love with the girl at my first sight.
I am a neurotic twenty-five-year old, Mechanical Engineering Graduate. I am not such a studious guy during my college times, so obviously I didn’t get through the campus. After graduation, I Searched for a job day and night, and finally I got a job in a PVT company as a quality inspector. Then I moved from my home and I stayed with friends. Life seems to be going good until my cousin cleared a Government job exam. From then on my father wants me to see me as a Government officer. After a big battle between me and my dad, finally my dad own the battle. I resigned my job, and started to prepare for the exams.
As I was not good in my numerical skills, I felt very hard during my starting stage. After the months of struggle I cleared my Tier I exam, and I got shortlisted for Tier II. Here comes the story day.
The day for my Tier II exam came, I woke up early and I got ready for the exam as usual I go for the other exams. Once I reached my exam center I was quite in a shock. To my surprise there was no one in the exam center. Then I took my hall ticket and checked the venue, I shouted myself “WHAT THE HELL YOU DID MAN”, You stepped into the wrong center. It is mentioned in the Hall Ticket that the venue for the exam is Akshaya college of Engineering and technology, but right now, I stepped in Akshaya college of Engineering. Why the hell they name two different college in the same franchise, I talked to myself.
Then I took my mobile, and searched the route for the exam center. It showed that it is 10 kms away from my current position, and at the same time, I was running out of time. I was standing in the middle of the road in the confused state, I don’t know what to do and where to go. To my surprise I couldn’t even find a taxi or an auto nearby.
I was praying to God for some miracles to happen.
A few seconds later a car stopped near me. A young man around twenties stepped out from the car and approached towards me. He asked me the route for the college where I need to go. He seemed to be confused with his direction as me, and he was in need of my help. At that moment I thought I am the luckiest person in this world. I explained my situation to him, and he offered me a ride to that college. I was thankful to god and I stepped inside the car. Finally, he dropped me in the college 10 minutes earlier to the time. I thanked him and I rushed into the exam hall.
While walking towards the exam hall I saw a small temple near the corner, I prayed to God, Please God “don’t make my day worse than this.” Then I went towards the waiting hall.
Suddenly, the beautiful cocktail blue shade sky was began to get darken into gravel gray, and I heard a tapping on the window, then it became a pitter-patter. As large clouds stated to move towards us, people ran for cover outside. Droplets of moisture began to drip from the leaves. There were sprinkling on the grass like gardener’s hose. As the rain started to fall heavy, I took shelter under an old oak, hoping that I stay out of getting wet. Suddenly a wind napped my face from the opposite direction. When I turned towards the wind, I just couldn’t believe my eyes the sight I saw, Yes I saw her there sitting over the bench and holding her bag over her lap. I understood something happened to me on looking at her. I started to laugh for no reason. At last, I realized that I am in LOVE AT MY FIRST SIGHT.
